Bella Thorne (born Annabella Avery Thorne on October 8, 1997) is an American actress and model. Annabella was born in Hollywood, Florida and now resides in California following Her dreams of being a actress.
Annabella's first film appearance was an uncredited role as a sidelines fan in the 2003 film Stuck on You. She has since appeared in film and television projects including Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Entourage, The O.C. (as a younger version of Taylor Townsend), and October Road, and portrayed Margaux Darling in five episodes of Dirty Sexy Money. In 2008, Thorne starred alongside Christian Slater in the short-lived drama series My Own Worst Enemy. She also appeared in the ten-episode web series Little Monk, which depicted characters from the series Monk as children.
Her upcoming films include Finishing the Game,The I Scream Man, and Forget Me Not with Cody Linley. She will also join the cast of HBO's Big Love in its fourth season, replacing Jolean Wejbe in the role of Bill Henrickson's daughter Tancy; Thorne was originally expected to play Bill's niece.
She has also booked the lead role in the Disney Channel pilot 'Dance Dance Chicago,' according to Variety. Bella will play Cece Jones, a dancer with heavy ambitions for a career in the spotlight.
Disney Channel has ordered “Shake It Up!,” (previously entitled "Dance, Dance Chicago,") a buddy comedy centered around a teen dance show, starring Bella Thorne and 13-year-old Zendaya. The multi-camera series will begin production in Hollywood, California, in July 2010 for a scheduled Fall 2010 premiere on Disney Channel. Gary Marsh, president, Entertainment, and chief creative officer, of Disney Channels Worldwide says “Newcomers Bella Thorne and Zendaya make for one of the most likable and engaging BFF duos we’ve ever seen. And while buddy comedies have been around since the start of television, what makes "Shake It Up" unique is that this is the first time anyone has incorporated dancing into the underlying premise of a sitcom.” The comedy series introduces two high-spirited characters, best friends CeCe Jones and Raquel “Rocky” Blue, whose dreams of becoming professional dancers are realized when they become background dancers on the most popular teen dance show, “Shake it Up, Chicago.”
Thorne has starred in a television ad campaign for Digital Light Processing and has appeared in print ads for brands including Barbie, ALDO K!DS, JLO by Jennifer Lopez, LaSenza Girl, Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren, Guess, and Target.
